The Chicago Manufacturing Renaissance Council partners with local and state government agencies to support high road business strategies, education and workforce development, and to ensure that the they provide world class, accessible infrastructure, training and value-added services.Similar to the private sector, the CMRC and its government partners espouse that public resources be invested in the areas of greatest return in order to:
- Improve the skills of the workforce;
- Develop educational and training initiatives with local colleges, universities and career centers;
- Enhance the effectives and responsiveness of the small and medium firms in the regional supply chain;
- Support the growth of high-performance manufacturing companies;
- Help companies build a competitive advantage over the long term in ways that positively impact the local and regional economies.
